Why We Built This Site
Many Texas court records are open to the public, but the correct custodian must be found first. The Shelby County District Clerk holds 123rd and 273rd District Court files. Constitutional County Court material belongs with the County Clerk, and each justice or municipal clerk retains that court's docket. iDocket and re:SearchTX may locate an entry, while only the originating clerk supplies an official or certified copy.
What You Will Find Here
- Docket guides: how criminal dockets and civil dockets are searched and read in Shelby County
- Court dates and settings: how to read the court calendar and confirm a hearing date or setting
- Case lookups: how to run a case search by party name or case number through the statewide portal
- Record requests: how court records and certified copies are requested from the clerk of court
What We Cannot Do
This is a privately run reference site with no connection to a Texas court, clerk, or state agency. Its role has firm limits:
- We cannot pull an official docket sheet or case file for anyone
- We cannot change, reschedule, or reset a court date or hearing setting
- We cannot remove, seal, or amend a case on any docket
- We cannot issue certified copies of any docket, order, or court document
- We cannot give legal advice or explain how a specific case applies to you
- We cannot guarantee that every phone number, fee, or setting listed on this site is current right now
Only the clerk of court or the trial court that heard the case can issue an official or certified copy of a docket sheet or court record. We can point you to the right office, but the document has to come from them.
Search Partners
Some page search boxes are operated by independent providers. Those companies decide what results appear, what they charge, and how submitted data is handled. A paid registration can produce a referral fee that helps support this resource, but partner pricing and record coverage are outside our control.
